1. The Wisdom Ball
The Wisdom Ball is a contemplative artwork built around a simple form: a sphere containing a genuine fragment of meteorite.
At first, it may appear to be an object. But the longer one looks at it, the more the object becomes a question.
The Wisdom Ball brings together matter, geometry and consciousness in a single presence.
2. The Three Mysteries
At the heart of each Wisdom Ball lie three mysteries: the circle, matter from outer space, and consciousness.
2.1 The Circle
The circle is one of the simplest forms we know, yet it contains one of mathematics’ most enduring mysteries.
Its proportions are governed by π — a universal constant that appears through the geometry of the circle.
Unlike a square, a triangle or any other elementary non-circular form, the circle carries this unique relationship between its diameter and its circumference. A perfect form, defined by a number that never ends.
2.2 The Meteorite
At the centre of each Wisdom Ball lies a genuine fragment of meteorite. It is matter that has travelled through space before arriving on Earth. A fragment of something larger, older and distant.
The meteorite introduces another mystery: the mystery of origin.
Where did matter begin?
What existed before us?
And how did a fragment of the universe come to be held in the palm of a human hand?
2.3 Consciousness
The third mystery is not inside the Wisdom Ball. It is the person looking at it. We can describe the sphere. We can analyse the meteorite. We can calculate the geometry of the circle. But consciousness remains fundamentally different.
We experience the world through it, yet we still do not fully understand what it is. The observer is therefore not outside the artwork. The observer completes it.
3. The Reversal of the Gaze
Most objects are made to be looked at. The Wisdom Ball gradually introduces another possibility. The sphere becomes a kind of silent mirror.
Not because it reflects your image, but because it returns you to the fact of your own presence. The artwork moves from object to encounter.
At some point, the question is no longer only what you are looking at, but what is looking back at you.
4. Presence
Presence precedes explanation.
Across philosophy, art and spiritual traditions, some of the most fundamental questions have been expressed not through definitions, but through presence.
In Exodus, the answer given to the question of identity is strikingly simple:
“I AM”
Not a description.
Not an object.
A statement of presence.
The Wisdom Ball does not attempt to answer this mystery. It places the question before us.
5. Presentialism
The Wisdom Ball belongs to a wider artistic approach I call Presentialism.
Presentialism begins with a simple intuition: reality cannot be reduced entirely to matter.
Matter can be measured, described and analysed. But every measurement, every description and every experience appears within consciousness.
Presentialism does not reject matter. It questions the assumption that matter alone is sufficient to account for experience.
The artwork therefore exists not only as an object, but as an encounter between matter and presence. What matters is not only what stands before us. It is also what happens within us when we encounter it.
6. A Presence in Space
The Wisdom Ball is designed to inhabit a space, not simply occupy it.
It can appear discreetly within a domestic interior, become a point of focus in a room, or take on a more sculptural presence in a gallery setting.
Its scale, transparency and colour allow it to interact with light, architecture and distance.
Depending on where it is placed, it may almost disappear — or become the centre of attention.

7. Armand Larose
I’m Armand Larose, the artist behind Wisdom.me and the Wisdom Ball.
My work explore presence, perception, memory and the relationship between what is seen and the consciousness that sees it. Through painting and the Wisdom Ball, I develop an artistic approach I call Presentialism: an inquiry into what remains when representation, matter and explanation reach their limits.
The Wisdom Balls and my paintings belong to the same search. Both begin with an image or an object. Both ultimately return to the observer.
Perhaps wisdom does not begin with an answer. Perhaps it begins with the moment we become aware of the question.
